This prestigious establishment is responsible for post-graduate education and most of the command, staff, leadership, Defence management, acquisition, and technology training for members of the UK Armed Forces and MOD Civil Servants. Serco supports the DA as the MOD's primary link with UK universities and international military educational institutions. Serco have an exciting new role as a Medical Centre Lead Admin at the Defence Academy. You’ll work collaboratively with the customer, becoming a key member of the medical support team in a very active, ‘Hands on’ customer facing, rewarding role. You’ll support with admin tasks and support the Medical Centre Specialist Coordinator at the Defence Academy. Key Accountabilities: To ensure standardisation of all Administration and Reception practises and the production of work Instructions to complement current Medical Centre, Unit and Defence Primary Health Care (DPHC) procedures. Process and despatch medical documentation and ensure that patient records are correctly maintained to a high standard, current and available when requested. Maintaining the appointment system and managing daily clinics on Defence Medical Information Capability Programme (DMICP). Booking in the dispensed medication when delivered from the Pharmacy and passing onto patients, using the Gov notify text messaging service. To register/deregister patients onto the medical IT system (Defence Medical Information Capability Programme (DMICP)) in accordance with current DPHC policy. Completion of training relevant to role provided by Serco and Defence Primary Healthcare. What you’ll need to do the role: Previous experience of working within a Military Medical Centre or similar role would be advantageous. Previous Administration experience PC literate, with experience in MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. This role will require an SC clearance.
