About The Role
1. Provide expert guidance to the Chief Operating Officer and Executive members on key financial matters, including budgeting, cash flow management, and policy decisions, facilitating informed leadership decisions.
2. Collaborate with members of the senior leadership team and support the Vice-Chancellor’s Executive Group to ensure that the financial strategy promotes strong academic and management frameworks, fostering excellence in teaching and research for students, staff, and other stakeholders while ensuring financial sustainability.
3. Ensure appropriate governance and financial regulations are upheld.
4. Direct the annual budgeting process from development through to rigorous analysis and final approval, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s goals and operational requirements.
About You
1. Professionally qualified accountant; Chartered Accountant or other relevant qualification.
2. Significant financial and related experience in senior management roles, preferably some of which is within the Education sector.
3. Demonstrable experience of successfully leading and implementing major financial strategies in a changing environment.
4. Significant experience as an effective leader and manager.
5. In-depth and high level technical expertise in the fields of financial accounting, management accounting and major project management.
