We are seeking to appoint an inspirational Teacher of Geography with excellent subject knowledge. The successful candidate will join the school’s highly successful and enthusiastic department, working and collaborating with an exceptionally dedicated and talented team of practitioners.
Our intent in Geography is to promote the vitally important role that Geography plays in understanding how the world works from an integrated and synoptic physical and human perspective. We have consistently high take up at GCSE and A-level for Geography and have recently increased our offer at A-level by adding Politics as part of our curriculum. As a department we pride ourselves on being innovative with our classroom practice so that we can provide all pupils at Fulston Manor School with a world class education. At KS3 we teach topics that underpin the foundational knowledge that make our GCSE and A-level pupils successful. At the same time we ensure that we provide a full coverage of the content expected by the National Curriculum for Geography. At GCSE we follow the Edexcel B Geography Specification and at A-level we follow the Edexcel Specifications for both Geography and Politics.
