We are looking for a
highly motivated and flexible person to carry out an administration co-ordination role in a busy Neuroscience, Ethics and Society (NEUROSEC) Group, led by Professor Ilina Singh, Principal Investigator (PI). The post is available on a flexible hybrid basis only if taking up a full-time post. In this case, the minimum time on-site in the office is 4 days/week. The postholder must be in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. About the Role The post is funded for 2 years (with the possibility of an extension) and is based in the Department of Psychiatry at the Warneford Hospital. You will take a central role in Team administration, showing initiative and providing proactive support to the PI, project managers and research staff. You will assist with administration on all general Team infrastructure concerns, such as office space and office practices, Team meetings and induction processes. You will take on the essential job of maintaining project records, overseeing project budgets, coordinating Team digital folders and supporting project reports to funders. This role involves liaising with individuals with a wide range of backgrounds including academics, researchers, clinicians, NHS and charity organisations, members of the public with lived experience, young people, and the Department administrative team. You will deal with a wide range of matters, sometimes of a confidential nature. About You You will be educated to degree standard or with equivalent professional experience, and have demonstrable experience of providing a high level of customer service through managing administrative processes. With excellent organisational and computer skills, you will have a high standard of numeracy, the ability to manage finances. Experience in maintaining web pages would be desirable as would as would experience of using financial information systems (e.g. Oracle Financials).
