Responsibilities
:
Join an organization that demonstrates a proactive health and safety management system and a continuous improvement environment. In this role, you will Ensure global oversight and guidance for health, safety, and environment (HSE) across 166 offices and low-risk sites strategically located across 5 continents and 35 countries.
You will also manage and implement HSE management system requirements and activities for 36 office locations in the EMEA region.You will have the ability to collaborate with EMEA HSE champions to reduce and eliminate operational HSE risks and ensure that the set targets and objectives for offices and low-risk sites are achieved. Some of the aspects include improving HSE maturity, reporting safety observations, developing action plans, conducting internal and corporate audits, and tracking total case incident rate (TCIR). You will accomplish this by establishing strong working relationships with the team you support. This role reports directly to the HSES&R Vice President and is based Leicester, UK.
·Develop a global BA offices and low-risk sites strategy that aligns with business needs, HSE country regulations, and corporate requirements.
·Be responsible for executing the offices and low-risk sites program within the EMEA region.
·Partner with and support BA Regional Leaders to deploy the offices and low-risk sites program globally.
·Identify, develop, and assist offices and low-risk sites HSE champions located in EMEA region.
·Continually review and ensure the organization offices and low-risk sites HSEMS is efficient, geographically deployed to manage risk, and aligned to supporting business needs.
·Develop and drive an HSE culture that values and promotes a safe working environment by improving the knowledge, skills, and engagement of all regional stakeholders and HSE champions globally.
·Continuously improve the offices and low-risk sites management operating systems and tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the BA offices and low-risk sites programs.
·Supervise emerging HSE regulations that could impact the BA offices and low-risk sites operations, summarize the potential impacts, and identify actions required to respond to or prepare for the identified impacts.
·Lead and assist in resolving potential non-compliance, enforcement actions, or litigation regarding offices and low-risk sites HSEPS matters.
·Advise management on emerging issues and solutions as they affect all aspects of offices and low-risk sites HSEMS.
·Partner with the BA Regional Leaders and HSE champions to identify the necessary actions required to ensure certifications are in place, securing the BA business's 'license to operate'.
·Develop and deploy a robust governance and internal auditing program for BA HSE offices and low-risk site locations.
·Partner with the Corporate offices and low-risk sites team to enhance BA understanding of the program's expectations, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
·Provide critical support to the EMEA HSE Director in implementing the global real estate rooftop reduction program.
Key requirements:
Do you have a solid HSE background, and consider yourself a strong leader who can communicate and influence decision making to all levels of the organization?
·Accredited degree in safety, engineering, or related technical field, or solid experience in a related, dedicated HSE role.
·Working knowledge and implementation of ISO 45001 requirements as well as health and safety experience.
·Leadership experience in regard to executing progressive safety & health practices and policies into a wider team.
·Firm understanding of OSHA’s General industry standard as well as Construction standards.
