Sales/Business Development Manager - Plant & Machinery | UK | Up to £65,000 plus car
A leading supply chain and logistics partner to rail industries across the globe requires a Sales & Business Development Manager.
Specialising in bespoke engineering machinery, they seek to solve an array of issues faced by the industry; this individual will drive sales, with the goal of transforming their sales from £6 million to £18 million within the next 5 years.
Utilising your existing sales background within rail or construction, you will be supported by the General Manager to make yourself indispensable to a £billion company.
Key Responsibilities:
1. The Sales and Business Development Manager specialises in the technical sales aspects of rail infrastructure plant and equipment.
2. The role plays a central role in every stage of the sales process - from planning the sales, customer engagement, closing the sale, and training.
3. Is primarily responsible for ensuring the technical specification for each project is clearly defined.
4. Will support pricing/bid process. The bid process manages the approvals through the business.
5. Responsible for managing both office and field-based time to meet the needs of the customer, sales teams, and the business.
6. Regular progress and KPI reviews will be held collectively as a team via weekly Comm Cells and 1-1’s with the respective line manager.
7. Role will be a combination of both proactive and reactive tasks.
Location(s): Doncaster, Crewe, Southport, or Stockport – In office 1-2 days a month.
Essentials:
1. Strong B2B sales acumen
2. Rail or Construction background
3. Preference for technical sales but just needs to be able to understand new concepts quickly.
4. UK Driving License
5. Desirable - International skills
