Job Title: Machine Shop Team Leader
Location: Cheltenham
Contract Details: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: £33,000 to £38,000 per year
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday from 07:30 AM to 04:00 PM, with an early finish at 12:30 PM on Fridays

Responsibilities:
Leading a team of skilled machinists within the machine shop
Delivering projects on time and within budget
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
Managing production schedules and resource allocation
Monitoring and improving the team's performance
Collaborating with other departments to optimise operations
Providing technical guidance and support to team members
Identifying areas for process improvement and implementing solutions
Conducting regular team meetings and performance reviewsEssential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
Solid knowledge of setting and operating 3, 4, 5 axis machines
Experience with CNC milling and turning machines
Proficiency with Fanuc and Haidenhain controls
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Previous experience as a Team Leader or Supervisor
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlinesDesirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
Experience with CNC Bridgeport and CNC Haas machines
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
Familiarity with aerospace quality standards and regulationsTechnologies:
CNC milling and turning machines
