RCT Council is once again preparing to recruit to its Graduate Programme that provides fantastic opportunities to work in a vibrant environment, learn new and transferable skills, meet people from a range of backgrounds and develop a professional career in Rhondda Cynon Taf. All Graduate Officers will be supported to complete either a Level 4 Project Management qualification or job-related technical training (all fully funded) as part of the programme.
Corporate Estates Maintenance Graduate Building Surveyor
The department has a responsibility to ensure the Council’s building portfolio is maintained in a safe and fit for use condition through planned and reactive maintenance, compliant in respect of Statutory Regulations for use by the public and Council officers, and undertake capital improvement programmes. We are a multi-discipline team of professionals comprising Building Surveyors, Electrical Engineers, Mechanical Engineers and Asbestos Officers.
Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for a motivated and well-organised individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a keen attention to detail and be a genuine team player. This is a busy role that will require you to manage multiple deadlines, work effectively under pressure, and collaborate with a variety of client departments. You will work alongside experienced colleagues, gaining job-specific knowledge and skills.
Minimum Qualifications: A minimum 2:2 degree or equivalent in a Building Surveying, Construction Project Management or related Built Environment subject.
