Job Title: Combat Systems Engineer- Sonar (UWS)

Salary: £40,748 – depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
* Provide technical support to the Engineering Lead or Engineering Manager in delivering and managing comprehensive system design for the Towed Array Handling Systems (TAHS) and Products for the Submarine Build Program
* Oversee the day-to-day management of the design process throughout the product lifecycle, from requirements gathering and system design to acceptance
* Support efforts in requirements definition, coherence, verification and validation (V&V), architecture, and modelling
* Assist in developing and managing Combat Systems requirements and ensuring thorough verification
* Ensure design validation is well-documented, tracked in requirements management tools, and approved by the relevant authority
* Review supplier-produced documentation, ensuring it is correctly filed within the Document Management System and logged in the Project Register
Your skills and experiences:
Essential
* Background within a STEM subject
* HNC Qualification in a relevant subject area as minimum
* Proven ability to solve problems
* Extensive stakeholder management skills at all levels with the ability to influence
* Systems Engineering knowledge and experience
Desirable
* Experience within a relevant industry (Sonar, Aerospace, Ship building)
