Contracts Manager Position Overview About the Role We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Contracts Manager to oversee and manage multiple projects, primarily within the building restoration industry. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage teams, clients, and contractors effectively. This position is based in our office in Bromley, Kent, with projects concentrated in London and surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities Project Management: Oversee up to 10 projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and high-quality standards. Client Interaction: Manage contract variations with clients, ensuring clear communication and effective resolution of issues. Documentation: Write detailed method statements and risk assessments for projects. Problem-Solving: Identify and implement workable solutions to challenges as they arise during project execution. Sub-Contractor Coordination: Issue orders to subcontractors, oversee their work, and process rolling payments. Team Leadership: Provide clear instructions, motivate teams, and foster a collaborative work environment. Organizational Excellence: Prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and meet project deadlines. Required Experience and Skills Proven track record of 5–10 years’ experience working as a main contractor, preferably in the building restoration industry. Strong organizational skills with a fine eye for detail. Numerate, with excellent report-writing and communication skills. Ability to lead and motivate teams effectively. Flexible, methodical, and conscientious approach to work. Proficient in problem-solving and time management. Additional Requirements Be comfortable with traveling to various project sites across London and surrounding areas. Must be familiar with public transport routes, as many of our Contracts Managers prefer this method of travel.
