Operations Manager - Fire and Security
Location: Surrey, South London, Kent, Sussex
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 + Bonus/Commission + Benefits
Required: Experience in FIRE ALARM AND ELECTRONIC SECURITY, Technical Account Manager/Engineering Manager, Business Manager/Branch Manager/Service Manager, Operations Manager, Service Management, leading a team of Maintenance Engineers.
Location: Attend Surrey/Sussex office 2-3 days a week, with 2-3 days in South England visiting customers/engineers.
Benefits: Approximately £65,000 (£60-70k) pa + Bonus + 33 days Holidays + progression opportunities + Car A or Car.
Role: Manage 30+ staff (office coordinators and service engineers) across South England.

Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Fire and Security Service Delivery Manager or Operations Manager to oversee and manage the fire and security service engineer division. You will be responsible for the efficient and effective delivery of fire and security services, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and optimizing operational processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fire and security systems and possess excellent leadership and managerial skills of Maintenance Engineers and Service Delivery.
Job Role Areas:
Leadership and Team Management:
1. Provide strong leadership and guidance to the fire and security team, fostering a positive work culture and motivating team members.
2. Manage and supervise a team of technicians, installers, and support staff, ensuring optimal resource allocation and utilization.
3. Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify training and development needs.
Planning, Service Delivery, and Customer SLA/KPI Achievement:
1. Monitor and evaluate operational performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective measures.
2. Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Customer Relationship Management:
1. Collaborate with sales and business development teams to identify opportunities for growth.
2. Foster strong relationships with existing and potential clients, addressing concerns and providing excellent customer service.
3. Act as a point of escalation for client issues, ensuring prompt resolution.
Skills:
1. Proven experience in a similar role managing a team of engineers and customer satisfaction in a fire alarm and electronic security service provider.
2. Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
3. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
