Job Description:
Are you ready to step into a warehouse role that goes beyond the basics? We’re looking for a proactive, problem-solving Warehouse Operative to join our team in Northampton. This isn’t just a job about moving boxes; it’s about thinking critically, optimising processes, and ensuring every customer receives exceptional service.
In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in maintaining the smooth operation of our warehouse, contributing ideas to improve workflows, and ensuring our high standards of accuracy and efficiency are consistently met.
Responsibilities:
* Receive, process, and store incoming stock with precision, ensuring quality and accuracy.
* Use your organisational skills to pick, pack, and dispatch orders effectively, prioritising speed and accuracy to meet customer expectations.
* Conduct regular stock checks, resolve discrepancies, and proactively suggest improvements to inventory management.
* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment, looking for ways to enhance operational efficiency.
* Assist in loading and unloading deliveries, ensuring goods are handled with care.
* Collaborate with team members and management to streamline processes and implement innovative solutions.
* Take on additional tasks as assigned, embracing opportunities to broaden your skill set and grow within the company.

Working Hours & Shifts:
* Five-day working schedule, primarily Monday to Saturday, with occasional Sunday shifts.
* Standard working hours: 9am to 5:30pm, with slight variations as needed.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a warehouse environment or a similar role; experience in the automotive or parts industry is highly advantageous.
* Strong attention to detail and a natural ability to think critically and adapt to new challenges.
* Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy objects and working on your feet for extended periods.
* Effective communicator who thrives in a team-oriented environment.
* Basic computer skills for inventory updates and order processing.
* A forklift licence is a plus but not essential.
