HVDC Engineering Industry Year Placements (Transmission 2025 Intake)
Duration: 12 months commencing June 2025
Location: Inverness, Glasgow, or Perth
Salary: Circa £24,580 per annum (pro-rata)
Degree Discipline: Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering
What is the role?

We have ambitious net zero targets and are looking for students who can bring fresh ideas and creative thinking to deliver innovative solutions.
Our Transmission Industry Year Placements provide real hands-on experience through a 12-month placement in our HVDC Engineering team, with support from a business mentor and buddy.
What do I need?
To be considered for the role, you will be studying a degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (or a mix of these disciplines). Our opportunities are open to students in their 2nd year onwards, graduating between 2026 and 2028. Practical work or project experience reflecting your passion for the energy sector, along with experience working in a team, is preferred.
