Job Title: Registered Veterinary Nurse

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join our dynamic team in Guildford. In this role, you will work closely with specialists, residents, interns, Senior RVNs, and other staff to provide exceptional patient care. The position requires strong communication skills, a commitment to professional development, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and patient care.
Role Overview
The RVN will rotate through various areas of the hospital including diagnostics, anaesthesia, theatre, wards, and medical oncology. The role involves working collaboratively to ensure the most effective and efficient approach to patient care and facilitating smooth clinical workflows.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain RCVS registration and adhere to the RCVS Code of Professional Conduct.
* Rotate through different hospital areas as needed.
* Assist with patient flow and provide exceptional care to all patients.
* Work with Senior RVNs to manage workload and patient care efficiently.
* Communicate effectively with clients to provide information and support regarding their pets' care.
* Participate in on-call duties, weekends, and bank holidays on a rotational basis.
Qualifications and Experience
* Veterinary Nurse accredited qualification.
* RCVS registration.
* Advanced veterinary nurse qualifications/certificate/diploma (desirable).
* Previous experience in a referral setting (desirable).
Knowledge and Skills
* Wide knowledge base of all areas of veterinary nursing.
* Familiarity with the RCVS VN Code of Conduct.
* Experience with oncological and soft tissue patients (desirable).
* Competence in basic and advanced nursing skills, including monitoring anaesthesia.

Additional Requirements
* Right to work in the United Kingdom.
