We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Research Associate to join our research team, focused on applying our proprietary gene silencing platform to the development of innovative human therapeutics. Our proprietary gene silencing technology facilitates stable, tunable and programmable silencing activity that differentiates it from alternative gene editing or gene regulation approaches, and specifically enables production of programmable, next-generation cell and gene therapies, addressing many current limitations. This is a 6-month fixed-term position with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will be joining a multidisciplinary team of computational and experimental biologists. The post is ideal for a dynamic individual looking to be part of a cutting-edge research program that will also have real impact on patients’ lives. Due to the early stage nature of the company it is imperative to have a pragmatic, can-do, collaborative approach. Key Responsibilities: Perform mammalian cell culture and related assays (e.g., FACS, qPCR) with a focus on quality and consistency. Conduct core molecular biology techniques, including plasmid preparation, PCR, and gel electrophoresis. Execute routine and detailed experimental tasks with precision and diligence. Support the multidisciplinary team by following protocols and ensuring data reliability and reproducibility. Collaborate effectively with team members, demonstrating a commitment to shared goals and excellence in laboratory work. Who We’re Looking For: Individuals who thrive in a laboratory setting and enjoy hands-on experimental work. Professionals motivated by achieving high standards and consistent results in lab-based tasks. Candidates who value reliability, teamwork, and professionalism. Skills and Qualifications: Essential: Experience in cell culture techniques, including cell counting, splitting, and maintenance. Experience in analytical techniques, including FACS, qPCR, and Western Blotting. Basic understanding of molecular biology techniques, including plasmid preparation and characterization. A methodical and systematic approach to laboratory work. Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and protocols, with training provided where necessary. Desirable: Experience in culturing and characterizing iPSCs. Use of transfection and viral transduction methods. Genetic engineering of mammalian cells using gene editing technologies. Experience using electronic lab notebooks. Development of standard protocols and templates for data analysis. Experience with high-throughput formats and assay automation. Values We Prioritize: Reliability and Consistency: Commitment to consistently performing high-quality work. Collaboration: A team-oriented mindset, working toward shared success. Professionalism and Diligence: A focus on doing a great job, even when tasks are repetitive or routine. Qualifications: BSc / MSc (BSc 3-5 years, MSc 0-3 years). Strong communication skills with the ability to relay information effectively to both computational and experimental scientists. Team-oriented approach toward collaboration and mutual success. Ability to ensure reproducible and transferable work through appropriate procedures and documentation.
