An exciting opportunity has arisen for an innovative, dynamic and enthusiastic individual with strong leadership qualities to join the Community Adult Mental Health Team in Hywel Dda Health Board as a Senior Clinical Manager. The portfolio for this post includes:
* North Ceredigion Community Mental Health Centre and Ceredigion Intensive Assessment and Home Treatment Services
* South Ceredigion Community Mental Health Team
* Swn-y-Gwynt and Towy Valley Community Mental Health Team
Our Community Mental Health Centres incorporate Secondary Care under the Mental Health (Wales) Measure 2010 and Intensive Assessment & Home Treatment Services.
You will be required to demonstrate a strong desire to deliver exemplary care to patients in these settings and uphold the Values of Hywel Dda Health Board.
Main duties of the job
You will possess proven experience in delivering, managing and leading services with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a flexible approach. The successful candidate will be forward-thinking and have a demonstrable passion for service development and innovation as well as a commitment to co-production with our third sector partners.
The base for this post is in Ceredigion. Travel will be required to support the service needs. You will also be part of our second on-call service rota.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post. Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply. Interviews to be held on 27/11/2024.

Qualifications & Knowledge
Essential
* Professional Registration (NMC, HCPC, Social Care Wales)
* Management experience
* Evidence of post basic development and experience in adult and older adult mental health services to postgraduate diploma level
* Evidence of CPD qualification which would equate to working at Masters degree level
* Demonstrate an excellent knowledge of Mental Health Legislation and its application in practice
* Significant knowledge of the strategic drivers for change within Mental Health Services
* Significant knowledge of evidence-based practice and psychological interventions used within Adult Mental Health
* Experience working within mental health services
* Degree or equivalent qualification
Desirable
* Management and/or leadership qualification
* Evidence of change management knowledge
* Evidence of completion of Silver IQT
* The ability to analyse data effectively and manage performance target systems
* Is able to demonstrate a working knowledge of implementing change and a robust clinical governance, assurance system
Experience
Essential
* Experience of utilising the datix system to manage concerns and complaints, incidents and risk registers
* Experience in using change management skills to implement any action plans generated by Serious Untoward Events, Internal and External inspections
* Experience in effective resource management across a whole system
* Experience in planning and delivering effective PADR systems
* Substantial post-registration experience of working in Mental Health both in inpatient and community settings
* Experience in operational management and professional leadership
* Experience of working co-productively with the 3rd sector, service users and carers
Desirable
* Experience of undertaking investigations, both staff and RCA investigations into Serious and Untoward events.
* Experience of working with health finance systems.
* Experience of producing SBAR reports for governance meetings
