The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the building services installation in hotel guest room refurbishment, ensuring that all building services are delivered to the highest standards. This is a key position within the company, responsible for ensuring the successful integration of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems Purpose: To manage the building services installation in hotel guest room refurbishmentReports To:Senior Building Services Manager / Project DirectorSKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Mechanical/ Electrical QualificationsHotel/ Residential Experience (Must have five years minimum experience).Proficient in Microsoft Word, ExcelKey Accountabilities: The management of onsite building services installations and contractors. Manage the quality control of building services installation and associated rectification/snagging. Manage the void closure process. Coordination of builders work in conjunction with building services. Manage pre commissioning of hotel guest roomsAssist with the production / collation of O & M's and as built drawingsKey Tasks:1. Manage the installation of all MEP Services on Site2. Work in accordance with Project Director/ Senior Building Services Manager and site requirements3. Assist Design Managers / Co-ordinators in the management of interfaces between various packages. Attend Design Team Meeting when required4. Offer Technical support to the Project Managers5. Conduct regular onsite Sub-Contract Progress/coordination Meetings6. Attend Sub-Contractor Progress meetings7. See that the Contractor has rectified the defects within a reasonable time and notify the Project managers when the Certificate of making good defects can be issued to the Contractor8. When the Engineering Systems are ready for inspection, prepare defects and/or snagging lists and issue the same to the Project Manager and the Contractor. Monitor the satisfactory completion of these items by the Contractor and report to the Senior manager9. Identify any variation to the Quantity Surveyor and Project Director before issuing any instruction10. Ensure all RFI information has been applied11. Notify the Project Manager as soon as the building services elements of the Project are complete12. Work to the Commissioning Programme and reporting any issues13. Act as stated in the contract and in a spirit of mutual trust and co-operation14. Communicate in a form which can be read, copied and recorded, Reply to a communication within the period for reply15. Such duties as may be delegated by the Project Director16.
