Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Responsible within the project/program for confirming the OSD (Outline Solution Design) and e2e (end to end) design meets with internal and external regulatory and security policy requirements. They will need to provide clear, continuous, and consistent IT Security Consultancy at a detailed level within the project.
2. Confirm that the solution is fit for purpose, meets the needs of the agreed requirements of the business, is pragmatic, and supportive of the strategic architecture direction.
3. Acts as the primary security Advisor for multiple areas of the business, maintaining good working relationships, promoting security awareness, and fulfilling the role of trusted security advisor.
4. To aid ensuring that sign off is appropriately supported at predetermined checkpoints in the SDLC. For example, that sign off requests are adequately supported by OSD, e2e, due diligence reports, penetration tests, and waivers.
5. Owns and resolves complex security enquiries and problems using other resources as appropriate.
6. Manage key business stakeholders to secure strong stakeholder engagement and buy-in for the solution.
7. Assess and advise the Project Manager on resource requirements to complete the end-to-end assignment requirements.
8. Maintain a forward-looking perspective on emerging technology developments and their relevance to Business and Technology Strategies.
Skills:
1. Knowledge of current and emerging information security vulnerabilities and mitigations across the technologies required for securing applications, data centres, global networks, and third-party access to applications and resources.
2. Strong process and technical knowledge of the application of IT Security tools and techniques.
3. Willingness to learn new technologies.
4. Individual contributor with limited support from peers.
5. Good knowledge of IT systems, including operating systems, databases, networking solutions, security tools, applications, and application frameworks.
Education and Experience – Minimum Capability Criteria:
1. Experience with Information Security / IT Security.
2. Strong written and oral communication skills.
3. Strong networking and negotiating skills.
4. Ability to work with specialist technical and security experts and with senior business management.
