We are seeking a dedicated MANAGER – OPERATIONS ANALYSIS AND IMPROVEMENT to join our team in a permanent role on a 5:2 roster.
The primary objective of the Manager – Operations Analysis and Improvement is to ensure seamless execution of operational initiatives and strategic projects by supporting the Chief Operating Officer. The role involves synthesizing complex data to create analysis and Board packs that provide timely insights into portfolio performance. The Manager will facilitate communication between the COO and stakeholders, manage key deliverables, and promote compliance with company policies. The individual will assess commercial and financial aspects, identify issues through analysis, conduct site visits to understand operational challenges, and translate findings into standardized reports.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Track strategic projects and ensure timely completion
* Review and analyze operational performance to identify risks and opportunities
* Assist in preparing operational and Board reports
* Create strategic decision-making materials, including PowerPoint presentations
* Participate in management projects to optimize processes and procedures
* Coordinate with the COO's assistant to manage the COO's calendar and priorities
* Act as liaison between the COO and stakeholders
* Monitor performance metrics and accountability of reports
* Promote a positive workplace culture aligned with company values
* Provide timely information to support decision-making
* Optimize COO's time and resources to enhance operational efficiency
* Perform additional duties as required
ABOUT YOU
* 7-10+ years of experience in the Resource, Energy, or Construction industries
* Degree in Business Administration, Management, Commerce, or Law
* Experience in managing projects focused on process optimization and operational efficiency
* Proficiency in preparing strategic materials and presentations
* Ability to assess operational performance, identify risks, and suggest improvements
* Experience in tracking performance metrics of direct reports
* Strong skills in document review and analysis
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to act as a liaison between the COO and stakeholders
* Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks
* Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Professional demeanor with strong diplomacy skills
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
