Our private care home is situated in the beautiful town of Hinckley, close to the town centre. We specialise in Residential Care, Dementia Care, Nursing Care, Respite Care, and Palliative care for 72-residents.
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Assistant to ensure our facility remains safe, efficient, and well-presented. In this role, your broad range of maintenance and decorating skills will be essential to our day-to-day operations, enhancing both functionality and appearance.
Your responsibilities will span general repairs, painting, decorating, and routine maintenance tasks. You will be a key contributor in maintaining a secure environment, ensuring that all equipment and building systems are in optimal working condition. Please note that this role may require occasional weekend and evening shifts, as well as on-call availability for emergencies.

Key Responsibilities
* Painting & Decorating: Maintain and update the aesthetics of the facility.
* General Repairs: Address issues such as leaky faucets, broken door handles, and other minor repairs.
* Electrical Inspections: Perform routine checks on wiring and control panels to mitigate potential issues.
* Installations & Upgrades: Efficiently install new appliances and equipment.
* Outdoor Maintenance: Ensure the facility’s grounds are clean and well-maintained.
* Routine Upkeep: Replace light bulbs and perform regular maintenance to keep systems operational.
* Safety Assurance: Regularly inspect and test safety systems, including fire alarms.
* Building Care: Monitor and repair building surfaces and infrastructure.
* Project Participation: Assist with renovations and improvement projects.
* Team Collaboration: Coordinate with the facilities or maintenance manager to ensure adherence to quality, health, and safety standards.
