Are you passionate about creativity, innovation, and inspiring students through design and technology? Do you have the skills to bring ideas to life in the classroom? We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Design and Technology to join the team in a secondary school based in Colchester.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Design and Technology to students across various year groups.
- Deliver engaging and innovative lessons on design principles, materials, electronics, and manufacturing techniques.
- Encourage creativity and critical thinking through project-based learning and hands-on activities.
- Support students in developing practical skills using a variety of tools, technologies, and software.
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt lessons to meet diverse learning needs.
- Contribute to the development of the Design and Technology curriculum and participate in department initiatives.
- Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.
- Inspire students to reach their full potential.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialisation in Design and Technology.
- Experience working within education.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods and resources to meet the diverse needs of students.
- GCSE's or equivalent at grade C (Pass) or above.
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students' academic and emotional development.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
