The vision in NGV Interconnectors is we accelerate a clean, secure and affordable energy future through world class interconnection and offshore assets.
This role will Head up the project controls team for innovative offshore projects driving the UK towards its interconnection and Net Zero targets. The Head of Project Controls will implement and embed a project controls framework for the Interconnectors Construction portfolio including for our first-of-a-kind Offshore Hybrid Asset (OHA) projects, Lionlink and Nautilus.
You will drive effective planning and execution, to enable the delivery of the projects to time, budget and scope. You'll be responsible for the monitoring, timely and accurate reporting and ensure that all issues and risks are understood and managed to enable project delivery.
In this role you can enjoy our hybrid working from office and home. You'll be flexible to travel to our Warwick and London office and Interconnector sites as required.
Key accountabilities
* Project Control Framework: review the Major Projects Minimum standard framework and define and deliver a project control framework for Interconnectors and our Joint Venture Partners.
* Process Definition: develop and implement procedures and processes to enable the application of the project control framework across the portfolio.
* Project Planning: oversee the production of and approve project plans, ensuring that all activities are identified and appropriately organised to deliver the project outcomes.
* Project Delivery Governance: develop and implement governance structures and processes to track and monitor project scoping, gate and assurance reviews and project execution.
* Cost Management: monitor the project costs to ensure they are within the agreed plan and budget; produce accurate cost forecasts and ensure that timely and accurate assessments of the estimate at completion are in place.
* Utilisation Tracking: monitor and track the resources utilisation on the project to ensure it remains aligned to the project budget and delivery schedule.
* Risk Management: identify and evaluate risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints associated with the projects in the portfolio, escalating where appropriate.
* Reporting: oversee the provision of data for the timely and accurate reporting of progress and performance of their allocated project(s) to leadership and other key stakeholders, including commentary on key drivers and performance indicators, in line with the agreed reporting cycle.
* Business Advice: maintain an awareness of the dependencies and interfaces of the projects within the portfolio and their potential impact; provide advice and guidance to the Construction Director as required.

* In-depth expertise and experience of project control disciplines on large infrastructure projects.
* In-depth knowledge and understanding of project lifecycles.
* Experience of project management/PMO on large infrastructure projects.
* Knowledge of risk management in large infrastructure projects.
* Well-developed customer focus and stakeholder management ability.
* Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships quickly.
What you'll get
A competitive starting salary between £78,000 - £100,000 – dependent on capability.
