White Horse Employment are pleased to be supporting an educational organisation with an exceptional reputation based in Bath.
This business is looking for a new Accounts Assistant to join the finance team and will be reporting into the Finance Manager. The role primarily handles day-to-day purchase ledger tasks while also assisting with journals, billing, budgeting, and credit control as needed.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:
* Process purchase invoices, match with purchase orders, and attach correct documentation.
* Administer payment runs and process staff expense claims and credit card transactions with proper approvals.
* Reconcile supplier statements, investigate purchase ledger queries, and liaise with suppliers.
* Produce monthly budget reports and assist with financial statistics, management information, and ledger reconciliations.
* Handle bank reconciliations, monitor the Finance inbox, and manage finance-related school database updates.
* Ensure secure receipt, handling, and banking of payments.
THE SUCCESSFULL CANDIDATE WILL:
* Ideally studying AATs
* Experience of working in a busy office environment
* Understanding of basic accounting principles and IT literate
