Job summary We are looking for a suitably qualified person with experience as a Medical Secretary with has knowledge of medical terminology, be able to work unsupervised and independently whilst being able to follow policies and procedures within the department. The successful candidate must possess good keyboard and IT skills to include Microsoft Office software and be able to demonstrate good communication and organisational skills. They will work closely with clinical and nursing staff plus the wider multi-disciplinary team. Diary management to consultant and teams. Organising meetings and if necessary attending meetings taking minutes. Typing of consultants letters/reports either via audio dictation or voice recognition where proof reading is required. Ensuring typing targets are met. Processing of daily documentation Dealing with enquiries from patients, relatives and staff. Contribute to a comprehensive efficient and effective administrative and clerical service. Updating spreadsheets/data collection and supporting departmental audit activity if required.
