Have you thought about working for CAMHS and have a passion for young people’s mental health? We have an exciting opportunity for several qualified or soon to be qualified Psychologists to join established teams including Learning Disability CAMHS and Intensive Home Treatment team (IHTT). We are happy to combine / split the posts to support your development and interests or offer part-time contracts.
These are Band 8a posts, but we are also able to offer them as a preceptorship post for newly or soon to be qualified Psychologists (Band7/8a). You will be working with experienced enthusiastic Psychologists in both teams.
We want to hear from you. It is an exciting time for the service as we grow and expand our offer to the young people and families of North Derbyshire. We want you to help transform and expand our services. Working alongside well-established teams, we have a well-developed CPD and clinical supervision programme. Main duties of the job
As a Psychologist within the LD CAMHS and/or IHTT across North Derbyshire you will:
* Contribute to psychological assessments, formulations and interventions.
* Deliver relevant training to carers and other professionals.
* Be a member of a multi-disciplinary service and contribute to team and service developments.
* Offer training, consultations and expert clinical advice for those working with young people with mental health problems.
* Contribute to leadership and service developments.
Person specification
Qualifications
* Graduate degree in Psychology, Doctoral Qualification in Clinical Psychology
Skills and knowledge
* Knowledge of appropriate psychological models of assessment, formulation and intervention for young people with mental health problems
* Excellent verbal and written skills
* Research and evaluation skills
* Ability to carry out project work to support the service
* Skills in family work and specific therapeutic interventions
Working experience
* Experience of working with complex trauma
Experience
* Experience and knowledge of working with young people with mental health problems
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Experience in training
* Experience of managing risk and safeguarding in clinical cases
* Evidence of engagement with clinical supervision
* Experience of service evaluations or research in the field of CAMHS
