ICT Support Officer
Contract until 30/01/
Based in Bootle, Merseyside - 5 Days a week onsite
£20.19 PH (37 hours a week Monday to Friday) Inside IR35, VIA Umbrella
Support the delivery of effective ICT Services, working in partnership with both Services and the Managed ICT Service Provider
MAIN DUTIES:
1. Support the Service Delivery Lead to effectively manage the delivery of the operational ICT Service, to ensure that this delivers key Outcomes and offers value for money
2. Review, interpret and validate ICT performance data against key performance indicators and supporting management information provided by the Managed Service Provider
3. Monitor any ICT incidents and ensure effective communication of risks and issues to all stakeholders
4. Support the delivery of the ICT Communications plan, including the coordination of ICT operational groups and drop in sessions as required.
5. Act as an escalation point for departments in relation to operational ICT matters
6. Be accountable for the delivery of the corporate printing contract
7. Act as the key contact for the Local Authority for the corporate printing solution including dealing with operational issues, accommodation moves and reallocations.
8. Coordinate responses with the Managed Service Provider to Freedom of Information Requests as required
9. Support and monitor user licences to ensure value for money for the authority.
10. Work in partnership with the managed service provider to manage ICT assets including the registration for supplier warranties as required.
EXPERIENCE
11. Experience of ICT related projects or ICT support
12. Experience of working with ICT Service Providers
13. Experience of building effective working relationships
14. Good experience of monitoring contract performance and KPI's
15. Previous experience of working in a local government environment
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/APTITUDES
16. Working knowledge of how ICT and Digital Solutions can support the reform of service delivery
17. Good knowledge of ICT technologies
18. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
19. Excellent customer service skills
20. Relevant knowledge of legislation including the Freedom of Information Act and General Data Protection Regulations
21. Knowledge of Local Authority culture, procedures and systems
22. Knowledge Information security governance requirements
