Job Duties:
* Provide tailored English and Maths tutoring to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) at GCSE level
* Develop individualised lesson plans based on students' learning needs and abilities
* Implement effective teaching strategies to support student progress and achievement
* Monitor and assess student performance to track improvements and address areas of difficulty
* Collaborate with SEN coordinators and other educational professionals to ensure student support and progress
Required Qualifications:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Specialism in English and Maths
* Experience working with students with SEN
Education:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
Experience:
Proven experience in tutoring or teaching English and Maths at GCSE level
Knowledge and Skills:
* Understanding of SEN support strategies
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Experience in outreach or community-based education programmes
Working Conditions:
This role involves working part-time hours on a temporary basis, providing tutoring support to students with SEN, in their homes. The position requires travel to various locations within the Basildon area. The tutor will need to adhere to safeguarding guidelines and maintain professional boundaries with students and their families.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
