Job Title: APS 4 Research Security Officer
Location: Defence Science and Technology Group (DSTG) - Edinburgh (SA)
Exciting opportunities exist for enthusiastic, motivated, aspiring security professionals to join Defence Science and Technology Group (DSTG). DSTG is seeking professionals who have a desire to develop knowledge in the security field with internal promotions and training development remaining a key priority for the Security Operations Directorate.
Working in DSTG, you will be part of a dedicated security team providing researchers and staff with security advice and capability support. Our team enables the efficient delivery of Defence priorities in line with legislative and policy requirements.
As an APS 4 Research Security Officer, you will undertake essential security functions critical to securing Defence research activities. This role involves processing and resolving a wide range of technical security issues across all DSTG divisions and security domains, requiring a level of policy expertise and a high level of customer service skills.

Research Technology and Operations Division (RTO) delivers specialist capabilities to Defence Innovation Science and Technology (IS&T). RTO comprises a professional workforce of engineers, technicians, computational scientists, and other staff who provide a wide range of highly specialised and unique research capability and innovative solutions delivering advanced research platforms for defence, national security, and the wider IS&T ecosystem.
