Quantity Surveyor - Commercial Construction
Location: Folkestone, Kent (Hybrid Working Available Once Established in Role)
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 per year

An established and growing Folkestone-based construction company is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team. Specializing in a diverse range of commercial construction projects, the company focuses on strip-out, refurbishment, and fit-out works. Clients include universities, shopping centres, light industrial sectors, housing associations, and more. Project values typically range from £50,000 to £2 million, with a high volume of projects predominantly under JCT forms of contract.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage daily commercial and contractual activities across multiple projects.
* Negotiate challenges and variations effectively.
* Support the preparation of interim and final accounts.
* Produce Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs).
* Price jobs using various approaches tailored to different client needs.
Individual Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
* Strong understanding of commercial construction, particularly in self-delivered projects.
* Knowledge and experience working with JCT forms of contract.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
* Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
* Proficiency in Maths, English, and IT.
* Full UK driving license.
* Ideally located within a 45-minute commute of Folkestone.
