We are seeking a skilled Butcher to join our team in preparing high-quality meats for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and excellent knife skills.
Duties:
1. Prepare meats for sale by cutting, trimming, boning, grinding, or slicing.
2. Ensure all meats are handled and stored correctly to maintain freshness.
3. Assist customers with selecting the right cuts of meat and provide cooking recommendations.
4. Operate and maintain butchery equipment safely and efficiently.
5. Keep work areas clean and sanitised according to food safety standards.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a Butcher or similar role in a kitchen or restaurant setting.
2. In-depth knowledge of meat cuts and preparation techniques.
3. Understanding of food safety practices and regulations.
4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
5. Excellent knife skills and attention to detail.
6. Strong communication skills to interact with customers effectively.

Hours will cover – prep day. As part of a farm shop, you will be required to work both Saturday and Sunday. We can operate for a half day on a Sunday. This is a new position and is open for negotiation with hours for the right candidate as long as it suits the needs of the business.
