Responsibilities of a Year 6 teacher:
1. Responsible for the pastoral care of children taking their first steps in Key Stage 2, promoting teamwork, and cultivating a conducive learning environment.
2. Further develop maths ability and introduce fractions, statistics, and geometry.
3. Help children develop their writing ability by creating plots, characters, and settings for stories.
4. Keep track of children's progress and occasionally report back to parents.
Year 6 Teacher requirements:
1. QTS, PGCE and strong academic record.
2. Creative, imaginative, determined, resourceful and adaptable practitioner.
3. Passionate about learning.
4. Able to demonstrate a track record of success within a Year 6 environment.
5. Ability to demonstrate outstanding practice in the classroom.
