We have an amazing opening for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a dynamic team at a reputable mixed animal practice nestled in an ancient market town within the beautiful Borough of Ribble Valley.
As a Veterinary Surgeon you will be part of this forward-thinking practice renowned for its commitment to excellence in animal care. This RCVS accredited practice boasts a stellar reputation in the local community and offers a diverse caseload encompassing both consults and surgeries.
Operating across three sites, including one consult-only location, our client primarily focuses on small animal and equine first opinion care. However, the choice to be involved with their equine caseload is entirely yours. Expect a rewarding mix of small animal consultations and surgeries, ranging from routine and preventative care to some emergency and critical cases. They even welcome the occasional wildlife patient.
Their well-maintained facilities feature spacious, light-filled buildings equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic and surgical amenities. From in-house labs and diagnostic ultrasound to digital radiography and dental machines, they provide the team with the tools they need to deliver exceptional care. Our client also takes pride in being a nurse training practice, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
Joining this vibrant team means working alongside two Clinical Directors, five Veterinary Surgeons, five RVNs, two Student Nurses, one VCA, and 14 dedicated Admin and Support Staff. One of their vets has a certificate in radiography and an interest in orthopaedics and another vet is hoping to start an exotics certificate shortly.

The Rota:
• Full time role - 40 hour week (part time and flexi working hours available)
• Weekday shifts will be a mixture of 09:00 - 18:30, 10:00 - 19:00 and 09:00 - 19:00
• 1:6 weekend rota (consults only): Saturdays are 09:30 - 14:00 and Sundays will be 10:00 - 13:00
• No OOH or on-call
