Job summary
This is a fabulous opportunity to undertake a Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship whilst learning many key 'on the job' skills. Your role will often be the first point of contact so you'll need the right interpersonal skills and a drive to deliver excellent levels of customer service. You'll need good written and verbal communication skills, the ability to build and sustain good relationships in and outside the team; good attention to detail and computer literacy. The main function of the Community Mental Health Team is to support service users who require a multi-disciplinary approach and those service users with long-term and stable mental health conditions.
This is a fixed term post for 18 months at Band 2, all LSCFT roles are considered for flexible working.
It is a mandatory element of this role that you undertake the 18 month apprenticeship course, including the End Point Assessment and attend all essential provider training sessions. The course will be delivered virtually and failure to progress as necessary on the course could result in the termination of your post.

Hours/ Sessions per week: 37.5 Hours per week

Main duties of the job
Throughout your apprenticeship you will learn valuable 'knowledge, skills and behaviours' that you can put in to practice in the workplace. You will receive full training on the job to support you with the tasks outlined below:
1. To deal with telephone enquiries, taking and conveying messages appropriately.
2. To sort incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail for posting.
3. Make appointments and give non-clinical advice as directed, taking necessary action for the call to be handled as quickly and efficiently as possible.
4. Liaise regularly with secondary care staff, laboratories and GP surgeries to obtain patient test results and where necessary receive and maintain database of pathology lab reports ensuring they are correctly assigned to patients and chase up any outstanding reports not received.
5. Receive and handle information regarding referrals to the service and deal with them within Trust or departmental timescales.

Residency to live and work in the UK for at least 1 year from the apprenticeship start date and must cover the entire course duration including the EPA period.
