Job Overview
We are seeking a qualified Counsellor to deliver AIM’s Level 4 Diploma in Counselling Practice. Ideally, you will be qualified to Level 7; as a minimum, you must hold a Level 5 Counselling qualification.
We have two groups of very committed learners who are in their final year of the programme and preparing for assessments. We are recruiting one or more tutors to support them to achieve their professional aspirations.
Teaching Requirements
We require at least 14 hours of teaching per week, with face-to-face delivery on campus at Bath College’s City Centre Campus between 9.30 am and 4.30 pm on Mondays and Wednesdays during College terms. We are keen to support learners with additional sessions, and these can be delivered during evenings and weekends.
Qualifications
Applicants must have relevant teaching experience and/or a qualification, and experience and/or a qualification in the relevant subject area. Suitable teaching qualifications include one of the following:
* Level 3 or 4 Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) or above
* Level 3 Education and Training or above
* Diploma or certificate in education
* Bachelors or Masters Degree in Education
Responsibilities
* To deliver high standards of teaching and learning and to monitor assessment processes in accordance with examination requirements.
* To deliver and assess and internally verify on a Level 4 Counselling course to a wide range of learners using appropriate teaching methods.
* Co-ordinate and maintain accurate records of formative and summative assessments of students’ learning carried in a standardised format on college approved systems.
* Communicate external examination entry and timetable arrangements to the students and relevant teams.
