The role:
An opportunity has arisen for a Assurance and Risk Business Partner. This is a newly created role which will lead the Assurance and Risk Management arrangements. This is an agile working role, with office attendance at the Chester HQ required one or two days per week.
Duties will include:
1. Manage the design, implementation and delivery of our Business Assurance and Risk Management Framework cycle
2. Partner with risk owners and stakeholders from across the business to identify, assess, capture, track and monitor our corporate and operational risk profile
3. Ensure that risk registers are maintained and that changes are reflected resulting from initiatives and/or the external environment
4. Identify, document and articulate accurate risk positions, related trends, improvement actions, anticipated impacts and timescales
5. Enhance and embed the Risk Management Framework to anticipate key risks relating to the Group’s Corporate Plan, Objectives and key Strategies
6. Undertake research and horizon scanning using a range of internal and external sources together with benchmarking tools to understand and share comparable sector risk profile data, information and intelligence
7. Develop management information and insight mechanisms that provide senior management with assurance that risks are being managed appropriately
8. Assist risk owners performing deep dive assurance reviews in key areas
The person:
9. Managed or supported the design, implementation and delivery of Business Assurance and Risk Management Frameworks and related cycles
10. Horizon scanning, identifying risk trends and improvement opportunities that will drive positive change
11. Knowledge of Business Assurance, Risk Management and Continuous Improvement methodologies
