We have an exciting opportunity for a high performance coach to join our talent pathway in the position of Academy Coach. This successful candidate will lead on the delivery of the academy programme and advance the development of players within the programme. They will be significant in contributing to sustainable success aligned with the Club's vision, through the development of elite level players who will one day represent The Yorkshire County Cricket Club.
Reporting to the Head of Talent Pathway, this role will involve:
* Providing high quality coaching to squad, small group and one to one coaching sessions in accordance with the programme delivery.
* Assisting with the preparation of winter and pre-season programmes.
* Leading in the delivery of Academy matches and ensuring the squad is well equipped for success on and off the field.
* Leading the planning, development, monitoring and delivery of individualised and holistic development programmes for Academy Players.
* Collaborating with a variety of stakeholders to contribute to the success of the Academy programme.
We are looking for people who meet the below criteria:
* Minimum ECB Level 3 coaching qualification or equivalent.
* Demonstrable success as a cricket coach in a talent pathway or professional game.
* Demonstrable experience of having developed aspiring elite level players over a sustained period of time and experience of overseeing a player's transition from the talent pathway to the professional game.
* Experience of working in collaboration with the Science and Medicine Team and a good understanding of the bodies' physical development during the ages of 15-18.
* Demonstrable experience or commitment to delivering the principles of the Club’s EDI strategy.
