SEND & Portage Early Years Specialist About the role: Portage Home Teachers are members of the National Portage Association. They are responsible for delivering training and ensuring that the Southampton Portage Service incorporates relevant and necessary local and government initiatives. They deliver individualised learning programmes for children with moderate to severe special educational needs. They teach children in their homes alongside their parents/carers or in a small teaching group session, and support them in identifying and accessing activities and services. They complete regular written reports to set goals, monitor progress and outcomes and to request funding for SEN support in educational placements. This post is for full time, 37 hours per week.
