Based at our Aberdeen Headquarters, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of the engineering team within our company—setting clear expectations, encouraging collaboration, and ensuring your team has the support they need to succeed. What You’ll Do: · Manage a dynamic team of engineers at different levels, setting goals, encouraging growth, and creating a culture of continuous improvement. · Drive the creation of cutting-edge, patentable products while also enhancing the efficiency and performance of existing solutions. · Deliver Impactful Projects – Oversee projects from concept to completion, ensuring deadlines are met and high standards are maintained. · Collaborate and Communicate – Work closely with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to develop solutions that meet real-world challenges. · Drive Excellence – Improve processes, lead failure mode and effect analysis, and support engineers on their professional development journey, including the IMechE MPDS. · Step Up as a Leader – Act as the VP of R&D’s deputy when required. What We’re Looking For: We need a strong leader who is passionate about people development and thrives on bringing out the best in a team. Your ability to motivate, support, and challenge individuals will be key to success in this role. · Proven experience in leading and inspiring engineering teams · Strong background in engineering design and development, ideally in Oilfield Tools · Track record of delivering innovative solutions · Master’s Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline (or equivalent) · Chartered Engineer status · Strong analytical, communication, and organisational skills · Experience with SolidWorks and FEA is a plus This is more than just a job—it’s a chance to make a real difference by shaping the careers of engineers while driving cutting-edge innovation.
