You’ll manage a varied and rewarding caseload of residential property transactions, including sales, purchases, remortgages, and transfers of equity. You’ll have the support of a dedicated Paralegal and Legal Secretary, with the chance to develop your professional profile through networking and business development activities. Key Responsibilities: Fee-Earning Work: Interview clients, take detailed instructions, and maintain thorough file notes. Review compliance documentation and analyse source of funds evidence in line with AML regulations. Draft and review contract packages, raise enquiries, and submit searches. Prepare title, mortgage, and search reports to ensure all transactions are completed efficiently. Act for mortgage lenders and manage exchanges of contracts. Provide regular updates to clients, keeping them informed of progress and costs. Maintain a strong knowledge of conveyancing law and practice, ensuring best practices are followed. Get involved in marketing and business development, including networking, attending events, and engaging on social media. Financial & Accounts Management: Prepare bills of costs, completion statements, and manage fund transfers. Request payments on account and manage client cheques. Oversee telegraphic transfers and financial approvals, ensuring compliance with financial policies. The Ideal Candidate: The successful candidate will: Be a qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive, or Licensed Conveyancer. Have previous experience managing residential property transactions (ideally within the Bristol property market). Be IT literate, with confidence in using legal case management systems. Demonstrate high standards of client care, with a professional yet personable approach. Be proactive in business development, including networking and social media. Have a Law degree or CILEx Professional Qualification (CPQ).
