About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Team Manager to lead our supported living team in delivering high-quality, person-centred care to individuals with varying support needs. This role is essential in ensuring our clients receive compassionate, empowering support to live as independently as possible within their community.
As the Team Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the supported living service, providing hands-on leadership to a team of support workers, managing care plans, and ensuring compliance with all relevant standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a caring and dedicated professional to step into a managerial role and drive positive outcomes for both the team and the people we support.
Key Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership: Inspire, supervise, and support a team of support workers, ensuring they provide excellent, person-centred care to each individual.
2. Service Delivery: Manage the day-to-day operations of the service, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all individuals.
3. Care Planning: Develop and oversee personalized care and support plans that meet the unique needs, goals, and preferences of each individual, regularly reviewing progress and making adjustments as needed.
4. Quality and Compliance: Ensure all support is delivered in line with regulatory standards, policies, and procedures, particularly CQC standards.
5. Training and Development: Support the professional growth of team members, identifying training needs and promoting development opportunities.
6. Communication: Act as the main point of contact for families, external agencies, and other stakeholders, fostering positive relationships and effective communication.
7. Documentation: Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation for both team activities and individual care plans, ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
What We're Looking For
1. Experience: Demonstrated experience in a similar role within supported living or social care settings.
2. Knowledge: Strong understanding of CQC standards, supported living practices, and person-centred care principles.
3. Leadership Skills: Ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
4. Organizational Skills: Highly organized with attention to detail, able to handle multiple priorities effectively.
5. Empathy and Compassion: A genuine commitment to supporting individuals with respect, dignity, and care.
Qualifications
1. Essential: Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent), with the willingness to work toward additional qualifications if required.
2. Desirable: Experience in a supervisory role within supported living or residential care settings.
