Position: Assistant Project Manager Rate: Indicative Inside IR35 Location: Birmingham Start date: April Contract Duration: 9 months People Group are looking to recruit a Assistant Project Manager from a Client Side background to work for a Train Operating Company. Responsibilities Helping to administer contract elements related to the delivery of the infrastructure project, ensuring adherence to the project programme and closely collaborating with the Project Manager Administration of the delivery of construction documents produced by the appointed Design and Build contractor, reviewing detail and ensuring a high quality of work. Managing communication and change control between stakeholders, including the client, the contractor and the Depot user population. Checking and ensuring robust implementation of the contractor's programme Preparing planning application documents including the environmental statement Promotion of an exemplary Health and Safety culture Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications Graduate Engineer or similar level of qualifications and proven work experience Experience working in the UK rail industry client side Understanding of Contracts and Contract Management, specifically NEC4 Contract Experience in using recognised contract management techniques (e.g. CEMAR) Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook. Familiarity with project management software and financial systems is advantageous
