Job Title: Early Talent Development Manager
Location: Hybrid working, 3 days per week at Head Office near Aylesbury plus occasional UK travel
Salary: circa £45k p/a
Hours of Work: Full-time
A rare opportunity to join a fast-growing, progressive and successful engineering-based organisation as an Early Talent Development Manager. This is a new role requiring the successful candidate to develop, implement and lead the early talent development programmes including apprenticeships, graduate opportunities, internships and sandwich placements and any other careers initiatives necessary to support the development of future talent pipeline, within a well-established but developing organisation.
Reporting to the HR Manager, this is both a strategic and operational role requiring you to develop and then manage the early careers programmes; you’ll act as a subject matter expert in relation to early careers initiatives, promoting alternative resourcing models to managers across the organisation for sourcing required skills and talent.
This role will also require you to represent the company externally, promoting the employer brand to generate enhanced awareness of the company, its organisational values, and the benefits of developing a career within it.

Skills & Experience required:
* Significant relevant work experience within Learning & Development, HR or education,
* Experience of designing and implementing development programmes,
* Experience of providing one to one developmental support,
* Experience of apprenticeship, graduate, or other early talent development programmes
* A strong understanding of key issues in developing an early talent strategy,
* Good understanding of the UK apprenticeships legal context and how best to access funding,
* Strong communicator with an ability to build strong working relationships; happy to represent the company at careers fairs and at formal promotion opportunities (for e.g., presentations at schools, colleges and universities,
* Ability to establish and manage relationships external providers
* Ability to work and contribute proactively – both independently, in teams and across the organisation
* Strong presentation skills
* Degree educated (or equivalent) in a relevant subject or relevant professional qualification or equivalent experience demonstrating this level of ability
* Driving licence with own vehicle. This role requires some travel.
