As a General Assistant for Sodexo at Sella Ness Lodge, you will play a key role in supporting the catering and cleaning services at this high-quality accommodation complex, which houses up to four hundred workers. The lodge is closely linked to the nearby gas plant and terminal, where Sodexo provides facilities management, catering, housekeeping, and maintenance services. What you’ll do:
1. Housekeeping:
1. Room servicing, including thorough cleaning of en-suite bathrooms.
2. Linen and laundry services.
3. Refuse collection and recycling.
4. Cleaning of communal areas, restrooms, reception, dining, laundry, and recreational facilities.
2. Catering / Kitchen Assistant:
1. Ensure all kitchen areas, utensils, crockery, and equipment are clean and organised.
2. Assist in the checking, acceptance, and correct storage of deliveries.
3. Properly disposing of kitchen waste and recyclables.
4. Supporting the Chefs with basic food preparation tasks as required.
5. Assist in setup and serving of hot and/or cold foods from counters and steamtables.
6. Actively champion a safe and healthy environment for visitors and staff.

Package Description
73.5 hours per week, 10.5 hrs per day.
£12.87 per hour.
3 weeks on 3 weeks off.
The 3 weeks on, 3 weeks off schedule offers an outstanding work-life balance, providing ample time to focus on work while also enjoying extended periods of rest and personal time.
Successful candidates will be required to undergo a basic background check.
Accommodation Provided: Single occupancy room with an en-suite bathroom and all meals included.
Travel Allowance: We recognise the travel costs associated for our ‘fly in, fly out’ employees, with the requirement to travel from your home to Aberdeen for onward travel to Shetland. You will be eligible to receive a travel allowance as a means of a contribution towards expenses incurred e.g. accommodation.
