Job Introduction
If you are interested in the Technical and Operational side of radio, we are looking for Studio Directors to join our BBC Media Operations team in MediaCity UK in Salford.
Studio Directors are a key part of Media Operations and you’ll be joining a team of highly skilled and creative people working 24/7.
Main Responsibilities
Operating the mixing desks and all studio equipment, Studio Directors play a key operational role behind everything you hear on the radio and are responsible for ensuring audio ambitions are achieved by the programme teams on-air.
* Connect and technically manage on-air contributors.
* Keep the live programmes on track.
* Provide technical assistance to the editorial teams outside of the studio environment.
* Help connect guests to studios for broadcast, fault finding technical equipment, sourcing and editing audio, recording and mixing podcasts.
