KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES' Operational, Strategic and Clinical Governance: 1. Indirectly accountable for the delivery of EPRR across the Trust. Liaising directly and working in partnership with stakeholders, devising plans for Organisational resilience against national and local quality standards and requirements, and other key performance indicators. 2. Ensure the highest standards of patient care are delivered by the Trust. Working together with the Patient Safety & Clinical Directorate, promoting and encouraging staff to continuously improve the quality of the care they deliver to patients while ensuring that clinical staff are delivering care in emergency, urgent and primary care settings to agreed performance standards Ensuring risks to the trust, staff and patients are minimised and monitored. 3. Ensure that the EPRR Management Team deliver the standards of performance and patient care and achieves agreed local and national standards, monitored against contractual obligations and that performance meets the expectations of the trust, providing support and guidance as necessary. 4. Develop collaborative working relationships with stakeholders to identify and deliver the requirements of EPRR and other legislation to the Trusts needs, seeking new business opportunities, in line with the strategic direction of the trust. 5. Accountable for the implementation of the Trusts EPRR agenda in relation to operational delivery in specific key areas, ensuring that the Operational Management Team understand their responsibilities in relation to the delivery of the regulations. 6. Work in collaboration with the Assistant Director of Operations to meet the demands of the service, overseeing the implementation of strategic changes, plans for improvement and service redesign in a balanced and achievable way, ensuring these do not impact detrimentally on service delivery and that stakeholders, both internal and external, are engaged at all stages of the implementation. 7. Work in collaboration with Senior Call Centre Managers within CCC to ensure effective resilience for our key communication systems. 8. Ensure that operational delivery teams have an understanding of the need for EPRR/Business continuity awareness within the health care landscape, liaising closely with Managers to ensure all outward facing encounters take account of the possibilities and potential liabilities. 10. The Post Holder will ensure that SCAS has a robust Business Continuity Plan in place for each department under their responsibility, and be fully competent to undertake any appropriate designated role within the SCAS, appropriate to their qualification or registration. 11. Work collaboratively with the Heads of operations to ensure there is a robust system of emergency and resilience planning and management, and that the Trust has the appropriate capacity and capability to respond to civil emergencies across the Trust.
