We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic dietitian with energy and drive to join our team. The post is suitable for new graduate Dietitian or Dietitian currently working at band 5 level seeking paediatric experience.
We are part of the largest NHS acute trust in England, including the second largest tertiary children's hospital in London. We provide several tertiary paediatric services including Surgery, Cystic Fibrosis, Gastroenterology, Allergy, Neonatology, Neurology, Diabetes and PICU. We have a diverse cultural and ethnic population and cover some of the most affluent as well as socially deprived areas of the country.
The role is in general paediatrics. The general Paediatric caseload is very varied and is based at the Royal London Hospital, and you will also spend 1 day/week at Newham University Hospital. You will be trained in paediatric dietetics and will see inpatients and outpatients. You will also have the opportunity to build your experience within other paediatric specialities.
You must have excellent communication skills and enjoy working within a dynamic multidisciplinary environment. You will join a large friendly team of 32 Paediatric Dietitians across 3 acute sites and into the community. We are also part of a large team of Children's Therapists.
Main duties of the job
To work together with the paediatric dietetic team to provide an effective dietetic service to paediatric in-patients and outpatients at The Royal London Hospital and Newham University Hospital. To ensure that research and audit is undertaken on a regular basis to ensure practice is evidence based.
