The job itself
An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a registered social worker to join the busy Wolds Community Wellbeing team based at Westgarth council offices in Driffield (pending office move- base unknown), however, the team operates a blended working approach and this includes some home based working. The team covers a wide geographical area and the ability to drive is essential for which a mileage allowance can be claimed. We have flexible working policies in place that can be considered and ERYC is committed to promoting a good work life balance and valuing our workforce.
You will work in accordance with the Care Act 2014 undertaking person centred assessments in the community assisting in the creation of collaborative care and support plans and monitoring and reviewing support thereafter. You will participate on a duty rota and this will involve dealing with crisis and urgent situations.
An understanding of policy, operational practice and procedures relating to adults and working in an adult community team is essential.
You will work within other legislative framework relating to adult social care and will have a working knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act 2005; adult safeguarding and deprivation of liberty safeguards.
You will possess excellent communication skills; an ability to manage your time effectively; be able to work under pressure and to timeframes; and be flexible in your approach to meet the requirements of the team and role. You will have excellent written and IT skills and be expected to use the adult database azeus.
All new staff will receive a comprehensive induction; regular supervision; empolyee development reviews and undertake training essnetial to the role. The team operates Monday to Friday.
