The Regional Marketing Head manages multiple teams through other managers. In-depth understanding of how own sub-function contributes to achieving the objectives of the function. A good understanding of the industry, direct competitors' products and services, is also necessary in order to contribute to the commercial objectives of the business. Requires thorough understanding of strategic direction of the function within the relevant part of the business, combined with a solid conceptual/practical grounding in both the function and/or area of expertise and related subject areas. Typically, a direct report to a C16 role and function as an intergral member of the functional leadership team within a country/site location, job family, or line of business. Responsibilities: Work as a strategic partner with designated Region Heads and Global Market Managers (NAM, EMEA, LATAM, APAC) to create and execute regional marketing strategies which include, but are not limited to, execution of client Advisory Boards if applicable, design and execution of internal sales meetings and calls, regional business strategy specific to regional and local offices, use of charitable and sponsorship budget and relevant marketing and business communications. Work closely with other members of the Marketing team in other regions in developing and executing common standards and common messaging with the aim of delivering an exceptional client experience across all client touch points (events, communications). The client experience will need to convey the globality, intellectual capabilities, client centricity and the service culture across all channels An important aspect of this role will be to foster an ongoing dialogue with other regional marketing colleagues across Citi with a view to partnering on events, identifying opportunities around mutual clients and prospects, leveraging thought leadership and enhancing the overall client experience. Manage the execution of all regional client and prospect events in the region, ensuring consistency in branding, messaging and quality of execution and client experience. Execute delivery and implementation of the top down global marketing strategy, ensuring active participation by the region in all relevant events taking place outside the region as well as managing the execution of all major global events in the region Own, develop and roll out a program of smaller, bespoke client and prospect events and PR programs supporting region specific business development plans Manage all aspects of client and prospect events including: invitation process; compliance reviews; detailed client and prospect briefings for senior management; logistics; on-site client interaction and hospitality; budget management; gift, venue, décor, and menu selection; maintenance of CRM data base; and post-event feedback and follow-up. Responsible for managing any other vendor relationships as appropriate. Ensure/ maintain timely regional inputs to the forward-looking online marketing calendar Ensure all events regardless of which region they take place in are highlighted and made available to the relevant clients and prospects Create/ ensure client and prospect lists exist for every event and for targeted publications Manage and track the status of invitations and responses to events Establish a robust process for feeding qualitative and quantitative results for all marketing and communication initiatives to permit tracking by the global client analytics team Ensure a detailed understanding of marketing collateral and acilitate the production of such collateral by working closely with product marketing teams and front-office personnel Ensure delivery of marketing content to internal and external clients is timely and effective Socialize and critically review output from the global tracking reports with regional business leadership with a view to enhancing future programs Co-ordinate the development and delivery of all relevant marketing deliverables ( e.g. marketing collateral, internal training programs, external client communications) to support changes to Citi policies or changes to external regulations Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards. Qualifications: Additional qualification/s in marketing, communications, finance, investments will be considered favourably. Extensive experience in marketing and communications with strong, recent experience working for a private bank or dealing with high end clients Extensive experience of running private client events is essential. Experience with digital delivery and digital client engagement programs A proven track record and understanding of all the disciplines in the marketing mix.
