About the Role
In this hybrid position, you will be an integral member of the SSA Mortgage Advice team spending part of the week working remotely from home. You will work closely with our very successful business partner, Hackney and Leigh, managing leads from them and providing the client with our SSA client first experience, which is at the heart of everything we do. You’ll work at least 2 days a week from Hackney and Leigh’s Carnforth and Kendal offices.
You’ll be expected to hit the ground running so experience working in a fast-paced environment is essential. You are required to have a solid working knowledge of the Mortgage Broker role to be considered.
This is a diverse role where you will:
* Engage with potential buyers coming through Hackney and Leigh’s estate agency.
* Collaborate with their sales team to maximise client referrals and deliver high-quality service and advice.
* Create new opportunities in South Cumbria.
* Ensure strong conversion rates from lead to business.
* Generate your own leads by actively participating in our social media and marketing campaigns.

Key Responsibilities
* Handle new leads from Hackney and Leigh’s sales team.
* Create greater brand awareness of SSA in South Cumbria
* Service clients from SSA’s existing client base.
* Research products and lenders to find the best options for clients.
* Present clients with tailored mortgage solutions.
* Keep our CRM system updated.
* Collaborate with the SSA team to maximise business opportunities.
* Help raise SSA's profile through social media, marketing campaigns, and networking.
* Stay updated on industry changes and maintain CPD (Continuing Professional Development).
* Work within compliance guidelines set by The Openwork Partnership and SSA.
Preferred Skills & Experience
* A genuine interest in helping people.
* Strong communication skills, including a good telephone manner.
* Confidence in holding virtual meetings via Teams and Zoom.
* Networking ability.
Requirements
* Cmap qualified or equivalent.
* At least 2 years of mortgage broking experience.
* Passion for delivering excellent client outcomes.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* A driving license.
* Ability and motivation to work from home.
* 1 day a month in our Head Office in Carlisle.

Role Details
* Contract: Permanent, full-time
* Location: Kendal, Carnforth, and surrounding areas
* Salary: £26,000 - £30,000
* Bonus, eligible to participate in our Adviser Bonus Scheme
* Schedule: Monday to Friday, with travel as required
