Your Impact A key role on site, responsible for ensuring the ongoing integrity and effectiveness of the client’s security systems.
The Service and Maintenance Engineer will mainly focus on Access Control and CCTV, and will monitor, maintain, and fix systems as necessary, in line with a monthly service and maintenance schedule, whilst managing the documentation and updating client master list information.
The role also entails identifying vulnerabilities and areas for improvement and upgrade.
Client satisfaction and customer service are key to the success of this role.
What You’ll Do In addition to the above, your key responsibilities will include: Perform regular checks and maintenance on all security systems across the estate (main focus on Access Control and CCTV) Identify and resolve issues with security equipment promptly to minimise downtime and maintain overall security of the client premises.
Keep security software and firmware up to date to address vulnerabilities and ensure systems are protected against the latest threats.
Work closely with other relevant departments to organise ordering of spare or replacement equipment, and to assist with other engineering works where necessary.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, updates, and issues to track system performance and provide documentation for audits or investigations.
What You'll Bring To succeed in this role, you'll need: Minimum 4 years’ experience in the security systems industry, with a focus on service and maintenance.
Strong knowledge and qualifications in access control and CCTV systems (preferred but not essential).
Excellent practical skills in security systems with a keen eye for detail.
Effective time management and strong organisational skills.
Thorough understanding of documentation and its importance in the industry.
Self-motivated team player with a professional and personable attitude.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Willingness to join on-call rota (1 in 6 after 6 months) and ability to obtain Government security clearance.
